NORTHERN PARTNERS COOP SAFETY UPDATE
As we progress through summer fill and into the heating season Northern Partners Coop will be checking for leaks on tanks, lines and regulators. Please read the following information regarding maintenance and operation of your propane system.
- Regulators: It is required by our insurance company that every 15 years we replace your regulator(s). If your regulator(s) need to be replaced we will be contacting you to schedule a time to make the replacement. In some cases regulators may fail, resulting in the possible over or under pressurization of the system or a gas leak. The cost of the regulators is minimal when you consider the consequences.
DON’T RUN OUT OF GAS!! Serious safety hazards,
including fire or explosion can result.
- If an appliance valve or a gas line is left open, a leak may occur when the system is recharged with propane. Dangerous situations can arise when your propane tank runs out of gas and therefore a leak check is required. When a leak check is required in an out of gas situation a $75.00 service fee will be charged. (to be paid at the time the service is performed) It is also required that a member of the household be present when this service is performed.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT IF YOU SMELL A LEAK INSIDE OR OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT NORTHERN PARTNERS COOP, YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US.
- All will call customers must give at least a two (2) day notice on deliveries. Don’t let your tank get below 20%.
- If you are currently not on our keep full route and you want to be added to the list please call and let us know.
· Normal business hours are 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. A delivery charge of $50.00 is required for after hours deliveries for will call customers. This charge will be $100.00 the second time and delivery will be refused the third time. This charge will be paid at the time of delivery.
