LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP: Business waited until Friday afternoon
to develop. It started in the North first with a light to
moderate dressed trade showing a full range of $170 to $172,
mostly $172, roughly $2 higher than the previous week's
weighted average basis Nebraska. Southern live business was
delayed until the early evening and was generally light, with
live deals ranging from $108 to $109, $1 to $3 higher than
the prior week's weighted averages. According to the Friday
afternoon Mandatory reports weekly trade volumes were as
follows: KS 260; NE 9,750; TX 0; CO 0; IA 11,680. Keep in
mind most trade developed well after the mandatory cutoff, so
weekly totals will be much larger when the weekly summaries
are released later this morning.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
Monday morning with bids and asking prices not established as
of yet. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until
the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be
higher with generally light box movement.

For the week ending October 05, 2019, Imported Beef Passed for
Entry in the U.S. totaled 35,608, 99.50% of the previous week
and 101.84% of the prior 4-week average.
